I also saw this discussion regarding the crop module, however I did not notice this behavior generating black thumbnails on my iPad Air 3. I did however noticed some weird freezes of cropping module.
Now talking about that “mess of psychedelic colours”, it happens when hitting edit raw image from Photos while RP app is stuck trying to decode that raw. Or maybe RP is trying to show that raw before it is fully downloaded from iCloud.Hi Nik, Andy.
My cure for crashes when sending originals was to decrease the number of images until I found that with five images iOS will not kill the app.
So, after latest update, 3.3.2, had tried again batch export of originals with 12 raws.
It worked this time.
I don’t know if Nik had fixed, but will worth to double check.
Sorry I didn’t have enough time for intensive testing these days, yet I’ll send an email for beta.
Great addition accessing folders from files. We don’t need now to copy files inside app. I was dreaming for this feature. Culling workflow is perfect now.

I am at the latest version right now and RP still crashing even if I wanted to export originals in small batch from files inside app, to the destination album in photos.
I wanted use RP for culling but it is useless so I am nearly forgetting it using in iPad. Too bad. Yet it is working as desired in MB.
I can understand Nik is working alone but…Yep. Had tried with 20 pcs. Had crashed after the fifth image processed, none was written on that album.

I had tried to export 33 dng originals from files app to Photos but RP crashed. After reinstalled the app with iPad restart, had crashed again.
Yet, if I’m exporting HEIF or JPG, the app is working as expected.
With HEIF export it is another story. I’ll send you few images for comparison.

I haven’t had asked for converting to DNG.
So being in RP files, how to send selected files as originals to Photos?
I had import in RP files only dngs. If I am trying to send some of them in Photos, they’ll be converted into jpgs before copying them in Photos app…

So the best way to view them separately is to access those files from Files app.
I am sure that you will find a way to do that in some of future release.Yea, really we are not losing any features by its presence, but we get the presence of that popping window for installing that app when we are refusing for installing it. Annoying. It is like an add in app. I’m using Apple camera app, and even if I had Halide installed can’t find useful or very little, starting it from in Raw Power app. And also even that button will start Apple camera app it is annoying to accidentally leave the application in the process of editing.
Could be blessing if we have a setting for hiding that button and recentering the button next to it.

On the small screen of iPhone I can’t find it useful at all.
Like I said in my first post, didn’t update app in iPad yet.You are right. It is a little bit like a toy, it doesn’t have lot of options for categorizing, it could have errors some time, but I think it will grow up.
If we are talking about applying edits in batch we have to remember that Raw Power is very well integrated in Photos and it will cover some things which are lacking in Photos. I believe that one will grow up too.
