Nik BhattKeymasterYes. There is a discount. The way it works is by having RAW Power write a small piece of data to iCloud and then Nitro reads that back. This is the approach recommended to me by Apple’s engineers. However, that requires the customer to be signed into iCloud, etc., so it won’t work in all cases.
Nik BhattKeymasterYou’re welcome. And, it’s a 1.0, so there is room to grow.
Nik BhattKeymasterGreat! Thanks!
Nik BhattKeymasterBlack and White conversions are creative by nature, so there are multiple ways to go about it. RAW Power has four different simple black and white conversion tools you can try:
1. The Black and White adjustment, which has various color filters.
2. The Fuji Acros Simulation
3. Other Black and White LUTs that come with the app
4. Presets – there are three BW conversions in there as well. You can also download LUTs from elsewhere that have nice BW conversions.
Nik BhattKeymasterI will have some news to share early in 2024…..
Nik BhattKeymasterWhen you open the file in Affinity Photo, is the modification date on the file changing? Perhaps Affinity is fixing some damage to the file (or adjusting some data).
Nik BhattKeymasterBecause of the way Apple has changed tagging, sometimes there is a lag between a tag being added and RAW Power detecting it.
It might require a little bit of time + a restart of the app.
As far as the Filter interface goes, you are correct. The tag checkbox is grayed out, but shouldn’t be. I’ll put that on the list to fix for the next update. Sorry about that.
Nik BhattKeymasterDo you have more than one Photos library? RAW Power can only open the “System Photo Library”.
You can set the System Photo Library in Photos preferences. Then reopen RAW Power.
Nik BhattKeymasterIt’s true that the app only imports individual LUTs, but it does support folders. This is the simplest way to deal with folders:
1. In RAW Power, go to the LUTs adjustment and pick My LUTs…
2. Quit the app.
3. Organize the LUTs into folders, add new folders with LUTs etc.
4. Relaunch the app.
5. Go back into the LUTs adjustment and the folders will be shown. No news on keywords. Sorry.
Nik BhattKeymasterI will provide news when I have some public to say. I do not provide roadmaps because my competitors watch what I do (one of them managed to get a beta seed for my app in the past). I have stopped promising new features because people get agitated when things don’t happen or don’t happen when they want them to.
Nik BhattKeymasterYes.
1. Go into Edit
2. Go to the LUT adjustment.
3. Pick “My LUTs”
4. Delete the LUT file as well as the .rawpowerCubeData” file.
Nik BhattKeymasterThanks for your report. I was not able to see the problem initially, but now I think I am able to reproduce it.
If I use Export to Photo Library (not original) and then pick Export Original to Photo Library, I get the extra settings.
I will look into a fix for the next release.
Nik BhattKeymasterYes, I noticed that too – Apple has done us all a favor! Glad it is running well for you.
Nik BhattKeymasteryes. The most recent version (3.4.16) has Sonoma support.
Nik BhattKeymasterStrange – on my machine, the order in RAW Power is exactly the same as in the Finder (neither is alphabetical).
I’m looking at the sidebar and also Finder Settings. Where are you seeing the alphabetical list? -
