I have not tried the app on Parallels at all, so I have no idea how it might behave. However, I can say that because it’s a VM, the GPU performance will be very poor, and RAW Power relies very heavily on the GPU. At one point, I tried to do something similar with Aperture, and it didn’t work at all (images didn’t load). So, a VM is not a configuration I can support.
I don’t think you can upload files here. I limit what can be done because I get so many robots and spam.
I don’t understand why the files would get converted to TIFF. I just imported some Sony RAWs from an SD Card reader into Photos and I get RAWs. Which OS are you using?

As you have found, R+J is not handled consistently through the ecosystem. Most apps (like Photos) edit the JPEG. RAW Power chooses to edit the RAW. There isn’t a way to edit the JPEG version right now. I plan to add a control to let people decide (this has always been true, but many people have suddenly started asking this same question). It’s technically possible to split the R+J apart, but it’s complicated to do it correctly because the only real way to do it is to import a new RAW and new JPEG asset and then delete the old one.
Batch Processing follows the same rule – it edits the RAW only. That’s one of the complications of offering an R+J switch. Batch Processing would either need to prompt or use a preference. However, I don’t know if either is a good solution.

Selective adjustments and grain are on the list for the future. I have been working on both, but I did not finish before the software needed to be released.

Updates usually show up in 24 hours or less, so you should be seeing it already. If not, you might need to restart your computer. The App Store sometimes fails to show updates because a background process is stuck or faulty.
Apple used to release new cameras on a quarterly basis, but now that they send out updates in the background, it’s much more difficult to assess the intervals. I do not think any new cameras would be added to High Sierra. In fact, most new cameras are only being added to Catalina.
Yes, that is possible for Photos libraries. I will add it to the list I keep of customer requests. Thanks for the suggestion!

Right now, there is no way for RAW Power to open any library other than the current system photo library. This is a limitation of macOS [I can ask to open “THE library”, but not “a library of my choosing”].
That said, you can change which library is the System Photo Library in Photos preferences, so you can switch it in Photos first, and then open RAW Power.

The license is per-platform. You can use the Mac version on up to five Macs, and the iOS version on up to five iOS devices. The Mac and iOS versions are separate purchases.
Sorry – the app does not have the ability to up-scale. That requires specialized code to maintain sharpness, etc.
A good way to adjust an image is to work in phases.
Phase 1: corrective: noise reduction, over exposure (Boost + Recovery), white balance
Phase 2: enhancement: lighten / deepen, contrast, curves / levels / saturation, sharpen, etc.
Phase 3: creative: vignette, black and white, etc.That said, crop can be corrective or creative. Curves can be used for over expose and color balance, so it can be in different phases too. Sometimes people start in black and white and work from there. In v3, Auto Enhance is a good way to start because it will apply adjustments that are both corrective and enhancing.
Sharpen is a luminance oriented sharpen. It is not the same as unsharp mask because it will not sharpen color noise. RAW Sharpen is like a capture level sharpen – it’s pretty limited but takes place as part of the decode. Definition is a local contrast type of sharpening.
Currently zoom level cannot be fixed between images. I got that request from another customer recently, so it’s on the list to do at some point. I don’t understand what you mean about the crop box, but you can email a video if you like to support@gentlemencoders.com.
