This has not worked since I had purchased the app so I have a question I have not found answered in the users guide. The first 9 tags in the list of tags have an associated keyboard shortcut. The remainder are in a seemingly random list (in finder they appear to be alphabetical). There does not appear to be any method I can use to sort or filter the tags presented to me or, at a minimum, define the tags I want to have associated with the keyboard shortcuts.

At a minimum it would be helpful if they were ordered in some fashion. Personally I’d like to filter the list too (I have quite a few). But understand if that is not in the cards.

    Hi Nik,
The use case that brought Shortcuts integration to mind is that I would like to be able to apply a Raw Power filter action in a shortcut (get all 4 star photos within a date range) and then perform an operation on each of the resulting of images (for example, add the four star rating to the metadata and perhaps to tag the file with a tag like “4star”). Then if I were to give the images to friends or family they would be able to see my ratings in the metadata and if they had Apple devices perhaps even see the tags (I understand tagging in RAW Power was broken by Apple).

For my simple example I would simply want a RAW Power shortcut action to provide me with a list of the file paths. You could obviously add features to RAW Power to add the metadata but I may be the only user who wants this feature.

Not sure if the use case makes sense to you or not but I figured it never hurts to ask.

One last suggestion – at the top of the web page for this forum is a link to a bunch of videos Nik created to help understand how to use RAW Power on MacOS and on iOS. There is one specifically for using the Photos Library Browsing the Photos Library using RAW Power 3.0

    Hi Derek,
You are not alone, I am about 15 years behind you and I find that lose these things as well, especially if I do not do them frequently enough. Keep plugging along!

To help with your problem, I highly recommend that you take a look at the RAW Power 3.0 user guide. The developer, Nik Bhatt, has some excellent descriptions of how to access files on your computer and images in the Mac Photos app. He also has links to a couple of articles he wrote that provide additional detail describing how RAW Power interacts with your Photos library both as a stand alone app or as an extension within that you can access from within Photos. It would be good to understand this because Apple “constrains” how RAW Power can interact with the Photos in your Photos library.

I am far from an expert but assuming that what you want to do is view these reworked images in RAW Power but leave them in Photos here is what I would try. Go to the File menu and select the New Photo Library window. This will open your system Photo library in RAW Power. You should then be able to use the RAW Power browser to find your reworked images.

I haven’t figured out how to upload figures to this forum yet but if you need some screenshots I will see if I can figure out how to do this and provide some.

If I have misunderstood your intent let me know!
