    Hi Nik,

what do you recommend when I want to create multiple versions of one single image, e.g. one color version and one B&W version, both based on the same raw file. What I need to duplicate it in Apple Photos first? I couldn’t find a duplicate command in RAW Power.

And while we are at it: What happens in Apple Photos when I use the duplicate command? I would think Photos won’t really create a copy of the raw file but rather just create a new set of metadata that represents the adjustments for that other version. Is that correct?

    Thanks,
    Erik

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to make multiple versions of an image with RAW Power. There is no duplicate command in RAW Power because Apple does not provide a way for apps to duplicate an image that fully preserves all user-entered metadata, like keywords.

In Photos, a duplicate is just a reference to the original, so it doesn’t actually copy the file.

Thanks, Nik, it’s not a problem to create the duplicate in Photos.
