Session filter ?

Hello, Would it be possible to have persistent filter for the session ?

I mean, it’s fine to lose the filter if I restart Nitro, but I’d like
to keep the filter when changing directories in file system mode. At
the moment, I have to recreate the filter every time I change
directories, which is becoming a real nuisance over time.

Maybe more like an “auto-reset filter”, true/false option rather than
a permanent filter.

The app currently does retain the filter when changing directories (at least it’s supposed to, and it works when I try it).

This is what I tried:
1. Went to a folder in the file system – filtered by edited (A > B > C)
2. Went to a different folder (A > D > E) – filtered by rating
3. Went back to the first folder – still filtered by edited.
4. Went back to the second folder – still filtered by rating.

Do you have any other settings – perhaps viewing combined subfolders or something like that (the “tree” button at the bottom of the window)?

Ah yes your right, using it like this works, with or without the
combined subfolders option.

It’s handy when you’re constantly switching between two or three
folders while working.

But when looking for images, let’s say images with Basketball keyword
and a rating of >= 3, I set the filters and can see the subset of
images in the current folder, but then I select the 2025 folder and I
have to set the filters again, select the 2024 folder, must set
filters again…

For this type of use, I think it would be preferable to have a filter
dialogue box that does not change when a new folder is selected.

But now that I understand how it currently works, I’m not quite sure
how to implement what I’m proposing while maintaining a simple and
intuitive user interface.
