I’ve spent the last couple of days learning how to use Luminosity masks. They are very cool, wish I had learned this sooner. I’m still a novice, but I started with Nitro and was getting frustrated, so switched to Affinity Photo. Using AP, the process was more intuitively. The big difference is that Nitro uses a set of sliders whereas AP uses a graph of tonal ranges in the X axis and opacity in the Y axis. Moving the curve and adding new anchor points was more intuitive, with a greater selective ability. Having a live view option and ability to save presets are bonuses. After getting what I wanted in AP, I went back into Nitro to try and replicate the mask, but the sliders don’t have the same range. Maybe I just need more practice.
Could a graphical tool be included in Nitro for making luminosity masks?
Thanks,
Mike
