Hi. Am running the trial and it is clear to me that this app has loads of potential. I shoot (at present) a Nikon D5300 and all my test images are shot with the kit 18-55mm VR lens. However the software is not applying any lens correction and reports that “lens correction is not available for this file”. The images are standard Nikon raw (nef) files. Am I missing a trick here?

    Thanks
    Colin

Lens Correction comes from Apple’s RAW engine and it only supports a subset of the cameras. Apple’s code relies on information stored in the metadata of the RAW file, which isn’t always present (and there are probably some other limitations of their code as well).

Generally, DSLRs aren’t supported by Apple’s lens correction, while fixed lens cameras (e.g., Sony RX 100) and many Micro 4/3rds are.

I hope to add a more general lens correction feature to the app, but I don’t have a time table for that at this point.
