I am doing some pre-trip (using iPhone 17 pro) experimenting with Perspective correction andwas curious to see what I can do with converging “keystone” images shot earlier this year. I am surprised that Nitro reports “No Lens Profile Available” for the iPhone Pro 17, nor the iPhone 15 Pro. It seems odd given that this is a largely “Apple” process. Is this because of internal processing in camera, “combining” more than one lens to capture an image or something else? I doubt if a lens profile could correct perspective on its own, but I was thinking it might help. In any event, I do think the manual “vertical” perspective tools work pretty well…thanks…gary

For reasons that only Apple understands, profiled lens correction is not provided for their cameras. In other words, Apple does not write the lens correction metadata to the RAW files that can be used to correct for distortion and vignetting. That said, lens correction metadata never accounts for keystone, as that is a function of the image / composition, not of the lens itself.
