I often use Auto Enhance under Quick Fix. I noticed that the Silders that have been adjusted are always closed when you come back to the Silders. The unused silders are open. In the settings, auto-collapse adjustment is disabled.

For a more efficient workflow, I would find it even more practical if Auto Enhance could be called directly in the Sliders section. So you wouldn’t have to switch back and forth between Quick Fix and Silders. Auto Enhance also has a direct impact on the Editing Silders.

People have suggested putting Auto Enhance into the slider section, but I am trying to build out the Quick Fixes so that people can accomplish most or all of their editing in that section and only go to sliders for fine-tuning or special purposes. That’s why AE is in Quick Fixes.

Also, if I implemented an “AI” or non-slider-based auto enhance, it would not make sense to put it with the sliders.

You are right that the app does not auto-open the sliders from auto enhance. People are at least as likely to use different sliders or features to continue editing as they are to adjust the sliders moved by AE.

    Thank you for the explanation.

For me, editing with AE is often not finished, but AE is the first step of editing. With time you also know what AE already optimized and which silders I would like to adjust manually afterwards.

In most cases, AE only adapts 1-2 silders in a group (like Tone or Enhance). Often I then use the silders not changed by AE in the same group for further processing. So I still have to reopen the sliders. AE always fits me about the same silder. Maybe you can add a setting so that deactivated auto-collaps is also taken over to AE.

I understand why you want to keep AE in Quick Fixes. As a user who has many years of experience with photo editing in Lightroom, it’s just a few more clicks for each image to switch between QuickFixes and Silders 😉 Since other users have also asked for it, their workflow is probably similar.
