Could you give any indication when it will be possible to use OneDrive instead of iCloud and will there be any restrictions on use

I haven’t looked into it yet. I first have to implement iCloud Drive support. While iCloud Photo Library is supported, but Photos handles the iCloud stuff itself. For regular iCloud Drive, I have to implement Apple’s APIs. For OneDrive, I have to implement Microsoft’s APIs. For Dropbox, I have to implement Dropbox’s APIs, etc. So unfortunately, I don’t have an answer to either of your questions.

Given that Nitro is a macOS/IOS environment and One Drive is part of the Microsoft “ecosystem” (although It CAN be used on macOS), it would seem to be a low value feature to many of us when iCloud is already on any system running Nitro. I don’t recall specifically, but I seem to have a recollection that One Drive has the typical “msdos” file naming limitations (8.3 characters), but may be mistaken.

If we’re talking “pie in the sky” features, I would favor Dropbox over One Drive, but I’m not holding my breath (nor advocating) for Nik to use development resources for additional cloud access.

Hi Gary. Just a quick reply to avert anyone from thinking that Microsoft OneDrive has an 8.3 naming limitation – it doesn’t. It is very much the equal of iCloud, and some would say it’s better, but I’m not going to go down that road. 😉
