Sorry if this is “beating the drum” too relentlessly. Perhaps this was previously explained and I didn’t follow the logic or it wasn’t on point to this issue. So keyboarding an heic file in Photo Supreme and xnViwMP are mutually read as entered. Nitro does NOT see it (nor does macOS Preview). The keywords are embedded so not an issue with sidecar files. It seems to me that there must be different fields within the HEIC file structure that are subject to different standards or the xmp internal data follows different formats.
Would an uploaded file be of any use in resolving this?

You can send one to the support email address. I recommend scaling it down first so it goes through the mail servers. Nitro reads and writes the dc:subject XMP entry which is the standard place for this. Lightroom has added a place in their own namespace for hierarchical keywords, but that is for true hierarchy (as opposed to the organizational hierarchy that Nitro uses).
