ParticipantAny idea when your next release is coming? (With or without the above request?)
Pito Salas
ParticipantGood point. In my mind it’s kind of a flag and has a distinct icon. why not add it to the flag gesture?
Pito Salas
ParticipantThanks: Understand.
Now a request about tooltips: it would be nice if every unlabeled icon had a tooltip.

ParticipantLet me describe my understanding.
With the checkbox off, as if I did the edits by hand one after the other and just accumulate.
With it on, it is as if I started with the unedited image and applied the preset. So not only does the reset replace other presets that were previously applied, it replaces all edits to the image up to that point.
Yes?

Participantso presets don’t “stack”. If I pick preset 1 and then preset 2, it’s the same as if I just pick preset 2. Correct?

ParticipantSorry to say but I find scrolling surprises in nitro far more often than photos, darkroom and others. I will try and reproduce for you.

ParticipantFurther experiment:
image x is RAW, and does not display in Photos.app
in nitro, it does display because I have “preview” option turned on
in nitro, I actually load it into the editor but don’t edit
in photos it still does not display
in nitro I now do recover highlights
in photos it does display.
Is this expected? It’s a little surprising to me.

ParticipantIs there any visual way to see that a raw image has been decoded?
Pito Salas
ParticipantWhen will nitro “process” the image? Just viewing it? Any edit?

ParticipantI strongly +1 the proposal. Many other apps allow me to use the scroll wheel to zoom with a modifier, whether it be cmd or opt. At that moment I’ve been interacting efficiently with my hand on the mouse and moving it to keyboard interrupt this.

ParticipantI loved that feature in Aperture too! +1

ParticipantYou’re right (of course.) But I WAS confused. I right clicked on the image in grid mode and while there were lots of choices, favorite was not one of them. There really was no way to know. Going to the 1 image view (for view or edit) is not convenient because the whole point is to see images side by side, as in the grid, and decide favorite vs. not. I may have shot three very similar images of a swan and want to see them side by side and choose the one I like best.
So: now that I know I don’t need the feature anymore. But I suggest making it apparent even in the grid display that you can use . and I assume 1,2,3,4,5 directly from there,
