JPEG is the “print” when you think of film days. If you add more edits in Nitro, that will be applied to the baked image with the picture control look you created in you camera.

In the raw file, the picture control of the camera had NO effect. You might see a jpeg thumbnail on the raw at first, but the real actual raw photo is the untouched “negative” — to keep with my film analogy.

Probably not, but I wonder about you converting them to LUT and importing that to Nitro.

I too would like printing as a feature, but what Nik says I believe. Printers are cursed — I have exported for printing and have opened the photos in Affinity Photo with pretty good results. However, I must admit to not understanding Nitro Manual on the topic of dpi. Should I select 300dpi or not? It almost sounds like it is pointless. This undoubtedly reveals my ignorance about printing, dpi, ppi, aRGB vs. sRGB. I’ve always “learned” to export to aRGB for printing purposes, but sRGB for posting on various photo sites including instagram or sharing with friends and family.

If smarter people than me can add a comment or 2 to help me out, I’m curious as to the best setting for a standard 8×10 print or even a 12×16 or 16×23 (for example).

    Cheers. David H
