ParticipantAfter updating Nitro to 2025.2 (77) there’s a weird horizontal over the Nitro window except the left side bar:
The right side bar is affected.

KeymasterI cannot see the images, but if it’s a black line near the top of the window, then yes, it’s a bug (and a weird one). It’s not new to that version (a customer reported it on 2025.1). I am having trouble reproducing it. It seems to be related to having tabs and also to the toolbar disconnecting from the left sidebar. If you have steps that always make it happen, please share them, so I can reproduce and fix the bug.

That’s the link to the image. Which usually works on other forums.
Before I updated to the new version, I quit Nitro. Then started again and added a new folder to the left sidebar.
After reporting the bug, I quit Nitro again and just staretd it now. No more horizontal line.
From the old screenshot I can say, the width were two px on the screen, one 0,0,0 and the other 166,166,166 or opacity. If you need the screenshots, I can send them by mail.February 26, 2025 at 9:10 am #136664Nik Bhatt
KeymasterI have seen that line from another customer, who sent some instructions for reproducing it, but unfortunately the steps do not reproduce for me. If you end up determining a good way to reproduce it, please let me know (via email is fine).
BTW: the forum suppresses HTML content because user-generated HTML can be a major security risk.

Sorry, I don’t know how to upload images from my SmugMug website or a link to an image on that site without using html. Should I use LINK instead? And running a forum about an image software which makes it difficult to upload images or at least place a link to another site is limiting an illustration possibility as well as a safety risk. I can acknowledge the risk of HTML and prefer you don’t have to waste time to pamper security precautions. I’m no expert in HTML so I better stay away from linking to sceenshots.February 26, 2025 at 6:51 pm #136668Nik Bhatt
KeymasterLink would be a good option, I would think, yes.

KeymasterI am able to reproduce this problem now. It appears to be due to having tabs instead of separate windows and is clearly a macOS bug. I will try to figure out a way to work around this issue. In the intervening time, if you are running into this issue, the simplest way to avoid is to turn off the Tabbed Window preference in Nitro Settings.
If you look at the line between the sidebar and below the toolbar, this is what it should look like:
However, when the bug triggers, the same area is missing the line because it has moved down.
This is not a line that my app draws – this is the responsibility of macOS. Anyway, I will look for a way to avoid it.

KeymasterAnd if you turn off tabs in settings, make sure to close all the tabs, quit the app and then reopen it. Otherwise, it might restore the tabs.
