Adding pictures to album causes delay

Hello,

I’m currently reviewing my 2024 pictures in a smart album. I found that adding them to an album takes several seconds (>6), often I even see the spinning wheel. This is quite annoying since it really slows my workflow considerably. My library is pretty extensive with more than 100.000 pictures and also on an external TB3 enclosure for this reason. However, if I do the same activity directly in photos there is no delay at all. Is there any way to speed this up?

It is hard to tell from this description what might be causing the slowdown. Apple does not use the same code for managing libraries that they give to 3rd party apps, so the experience is sometimes different. Getting a sample would help in determining what is causing the slowdown. This is probably better down over email than a public forum, so please email support@gentlemencoders.com and we can work through the steps and issue that way.
