Testing on a single, very noisy, image of the milky way, V9 does a surprising job of denoising.
With V9 and the luma noise slider, I can get in the same ball park as DXO deep prime XD3 noise reduction.

The drawback is that on some photos, even low noise, V9 causes the effect of a slider to lag for about 2 seconds.
If I go back to V8 or uncheck Raw Tuning, the sliders return to normal.
I have not been able to determine why some images have the problem and others don’t.

V9 is very expensive computationally. I have not seen that kind of lag, but it may depend on your computer. I tested the app with a 42 Megapixel Sony A7R3 on a MacBook Pro M4 Pro and performance was good in most cases. If you add a bunch of adjustments, it may slow down.

So, the resolution of the image, the specific camera (because some cameras require more processing), and your computer are key factors in performance.
