Trying the latest version of Nitro and it has come on leaps and bounds. That colour range mask though is really hit and miss in my experience and certainly does not have the accuracy of Lr or ON1. Is this likely to improve as in its current state it renders Nitro a “no go” for me. The Luminosity mask seems to suffer likewise so thus seems to be a bug in range masking

Yours is the first complaint I have received about color or luminance masking. I would need more information, sample images, etc. to look into the issue. It is not a magic wand selector. In general, I view color and luminance masking as a quick starting point, where you use the eraser tool to remove areas you do not need.

Thank you Nik. That might well be the issue, I am used to the very precise nature of the masks in Lr etc. Yes, they need fine-tuning often but they are closer to the target from the start. I’ll try using it as you suggest and see if that works for me.

Think I have sorted it out now and am finding Nitro really useful, especially with Photos. Will. be even better when we have iCloud functionality and I would like to see just a little more Ai masking – the tool where you can point at an object to select it would be great.

    Brilliant stuff Nik. Thanks
