I am working with a Finder Folder based workflow and naturally with large amount of photographs the Nitro Cache in ‘Containers/Nitro/Data/Library/Caches/File System’ is growing fast in size. Is there a possibility to relocate this Nitro Cache to a fast external SSD to free up space on my MacOS SSD ?
With the price of Apple storage this would be a great idea. If it’s just cache, the fallback if external cache is chosen but is not present (could happen) could be to create a temporary cache for the session, which is deleted when Nitro is closed.
The other self-inflicted wound to look out for would be to make sure that the external disk is fast enough. Nitro could run a mini-test to make sure it is before setting cache to an external disk.

Yes, that’s possible. I will put it on the list for a future release. The cache grows to store thumbnails and previews for faster display. You can also clear the cache using the Settings interface (near the bottom).
