If you turn off Standard RAW Development, and your image would normally automatic lens correction, then the subject mask will be offset. It’s a bug in Nitro. You can fix that by turn lens correction back on in the Lens adjustment.

Good question, Robert, and even better answer, Nik! That might explain why, earlier, I had called a local adjustment “a little weak.” I withdraw that comment.
Awesome! Thanks for the workaround Nik, works great! Hopefully the Nitro bug (and the bug that drove me to disable standard RAW development in the first place) get addressed soon, but for now I’m happy as a clam 🙂
