    I’ve been reading through the Nitro user’s manual and ran across a problem while looking at the Settings for Nitro. I’ve noticed on my system, at least, that turning the “Always make tabbed windows” setting either on or off makes no difference. Nitro always opens tabbed windows. Once the tabbed windows are displayed, I see the weird black or white line in the Viewer Mode. The line goes away on restarting Nitro. Is there a way to open separate windows like my Photos Library window and a separate Finder window? I’m running Mac OS 15.3.2 Sequoia.
    I like Nitro and continue to learn more about it.

    The tabbed window setting works for future windows, so I suggest these steps:
    1) set the preference
    2) close the windows / tabs you have
    3) open Nitro
    4) open the windows you want

    There must be something I don’t understand about tabbed windows. When I launch Nitro, it always opens my Photos Library. Any time I open a new Photos Library, or Finder File window it is tabbed. I tried your suggestion, but I always get tabbed windows. It’s not a big deal. I’m just trying to make sure I know how Nitro is working.

    It should not open tabs if you a) clear the preference in Nitro settings AND b) close all the windows before reopening the app. That’s puzzling.
