After I evaluated the trial subscription for Nitro, I purchased a yearly subscription. Now Nitro is behaving oddly. Upon launch I get message about having to select folders for Nitro to access them. I can’t choose my Photos Library, since it’s not a folder. It’s stored on and external HD, along with other folders with photos. Nitro used to open the Photos Library upon launch. I can select the entire HD, and eventually I can see the Photos Library. I never had to do this before. How can I fix it?
Nitro has two kinds of windows – one for the photo library and one for the Finder. It sounds like you have a window open for the Finder. Go to File > New Photo Library Window and that should open the system photo library. You can then close the window for the Finder.
Thank you for the reply, Nik.
I think I figured it out. I know about the two types of windows one can use in Nitro. I just figured out that Nitro opens both types of windows when launched. The File System window was always on top, hiding the Photo Library window. I had missed this. Now I think I understand what’s going on.
Thanks for your help. So far I’m enjoying learning about Nitro.
Glad to hear it. The next version of the app will use Tabs by default instead of separate windows to minimize this problems of windows on top of each other.
