Nik, are the parameters of a “Lifetime” purchase defined somewhere? Nitro is currently at 1.0 (or thereabouts). Presumably Nitro 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc are included in the Lifetime purchase but will Nitro 2.0 require purchasing a new licence? Apps are all over the map in this regard, Affinity Photo provided free updates for several years while others upgrade to a new version (eg. 2.0) every year. Where do you expect Nitro will fit into this cycle of upgrades and updates?

Lifetime purchases get all updates for free. There won’t be a break at major versions.

That’s because Nitro won’t have versions like 1.0, 2.0. It will use a “year.version” notation, like 2024.1 and eventually 2025.1 with continuous improvement.

What is the lifetime price? I can’t see ANY of the prices from looking at the Apple Store item description.

The prices are visible in two places:
    1) If you download the app and view the prices in the paywall (View Options)
    2) In the App Store description, there is a section called Information with In App Purchases. The prices are listed there.

Thanks, found it. All this time using the App Store and never saw that list under In-App Purchases!

I assumed that the “one-time payment” was only for the current version, with additional payments required for newer versions — similar to the way most non-subscription apps are priced.

It seems from this thread that “$99.99 once (or $79.99 for RAW Power customers)” = “as long as the app is in active development, you will get the latest version for free”.

    Please confirm.

    TIA

Pay once for all future updates. There will not be a version 2 or whatever you have to pay again for. It’s quite a deal.
