    Hi all,

With the new support for iCloud referenced folders, is it possible to sync changes between Raw Power on Mac an iOS for pictures stored in iCloud files folders (not the iCloud photos library)?

In my initial attempts, the changes made on an iPad did not propagate back to the Mac.

Generally, I found it hard to find information about the new release 3.3. The release notes for the Mac version are hidden on the download page and the ones for iOS I didn’t find at all. Maybe it would be a nice idea to add a link to the homepage?

    Thanks a lot,
    David

    Hi David,

On iOS, the referenced folder system is intended for external drives rather than cloud-based services. iCloud files that are downloaded already do work, but it’s not the target workflow. The limitations are due to the way sidecars are managed in the app, which are not stored with the images – they are stored on device. That’s why changes do not propagate. The goal was to avoid requiring people to copy images to their devices as opposed to create multi-machine workflows. That is a larger, future effort.

As far as release notes go, they are available in the app. On iOS, you can find them in the menu on the main screen. On Mac, they are available in the Help menu. Today, I also added them to the support page: https://www.gentlemencoders.com/support/

    I hope that helps.
